(Please find the connection details under “Material and documents“.)

Highlights of GWE Forum activities, as of May 2021

The Coordination Group supports the work of the GWE Forum to foster dialogue and greater cooperation, collaboration and understanding of issues that the GWE is facing by supporting analytical work to address issues and test solutions, and by creating an environment for the exchange of ideas. The Coordination Group also evaluates the performance and reviews outcomes of the collaboration within the GWE Forum.

At this meeting, the Coordination Group will:

  1. Review the activities of the Forum conducted during fiscal year 2021 (July 2020 – June 2021). It was agreed in 2020 that the Forum would focus on virtual events and desk top studies due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation.
  2. Develop a preliminary agenda for activities to be undertaken in fiscal year 2022 (July 2021 – June 2022).
  3. Consider how to increase the engagement of the Coordination Group in organizing events during the next fiscal year, anticipating that the current limitations of face-to-face meetings and project activities will likely continue to some degree.

 Proposed Agenda

  1. Introduction of participants and agenda discussion
  2. Brief overview of activities conducted during July 2020 – June 2021
  3. Main activities proposed for July 2021 – June 2022, taking into account emerging issues as follows:
